Eulogies Pour In for Rob and Michele Reiner as Autopsy Reports Face a Security Hold.

Well beyond 14 days after the tragic deaths of renowned filmmaker Rob Reiner and his wife, photographer Michele Reiner, friends and colleagues are still paying respects to the couple.

Quoting a Classic: Cary Elwes Pays Tribute to His Director

Writing on social media, actor Cary Elwes, who starred in Reiner's iconic movie *The Princess Bride*, mentioned he only now felt ready to express about his personal sorrow.

"Enough time has elapsed that I can at last express my sorrow into words," shared Elwes, adding that his introductory moment with Reiner made him fall in love. "As we began passing more hours together I knew this was someone I wanted in my life."

The actor posted never-before-seen clips from the movie, commenting that he could not remember "one day without mirth".

"The movie is about devotion, fidelity and selflessness. Principles that Rob cherished deeply. Which is among the many reasons he was the best person to helm it," Elwes expressed.

He also paid tribute Michele Reiner, noting: "Claiming that they were a incredible duo would be an understatement. My heart still hurts every time I think of you." He finished with a phrase from *The Princess Bride*: "Sure, death cannot stop true love but living is anguish without you."

Martin Scorsese Recalls a Fellow Artist

In a distinct piece, acclaimed director Martin Scorsese paid homage to Reiner, whom he initially encountered in the 1970s.

"From the start, I loved hanging out with Rob. We had a natural affinity for each other. He was very funny and sometimes acutely humorous, but he was never the kind of guy who would take over the room," Scorsese said.

Scorsese mentioned Reiner's acting part in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, portraying the father of the main character.

"He was skilled at improv with the best. He was a virtuoso at comedy, he worked wonderfully with the cast, and he grasped the human predicament of his character," Scorsese wrote.

Judicial Actions: Autopsy Reports Restricted

Recently, a Los Angeles superior court judge decided to bar the disclosure of the Reiners' post-mortem findings, at the request from the local authorities.

A judicial mandate issued a security hold on the investigation to limit the public release of "any investigative information, evidence and photographs" associated with the probe.

The coroner's office had previously confirmed their deaths were the outcome of foul play, with a official listing noting the cause as "multiple sharp force injuries".

Fallout and Commentary

After the killings, public figures expressed divergent comments.

Former President Donald Trump commented on the matter, offering controversial claims that were broadly criticized by several commentators.

Podcaster Joe Rogan contributed his criticism to the detractors recently. Talking on his show, Rogan characterized the statements as "disappointing" and suggested they showed a troubling deficiency of sympathy.

Rogan concluded by proposing that an associate could have acted when the impulse to weigh in on the tragedy was made.
